“Take your bow and a quiver full of arrows, and go out into the open country to hunt some wild game for me.” - Genesis 27:3

AbleShot’s Purpose

This corporation is a qualified charitable 501c3 organization created to provide free outdoor experiences, including but not limited to hunting and fishing trips, for the sole purpose of bringing relief to the handicapped, the distressed, or the underprivileged. We accomplish this purpose through the various aspects of our Mission Statement.

Mission Statement

The mission of AbleShot is to:

  • Foster a connection between Heaven and earth through wilderness experiences
  • Empower the disabled and the disadvantaged by giving them the opportunity to actively experience nature activities like hunting, fishing, and camping
  • Help maintain a natural environment that all can enjoy

    our board members

AbleShot’s Board of Directors is made up of individuals who are dedicated to bringing outdoor experiences to veterans, the disabled, and to those who would not be able to experience the benefits and transformations that come from interacting with nature, if AbleShot did not exist.  They take pride in providing quality programs for the disadvantaged.  Each Board Member brings their own special strengths to the organization to develop programs that build confidence, improve mental health, and foster a deeper connection with nature.

    William (Bill) McCance III

I was involved in a car accident in 1994 and the doctors said I would never walk again.  Since then, I have been fighting to regain as much mobility as possible.  After putting myself through college, I became a financial advisor in 2003.  My first hunting experience was in 2011 when I killed a javelina with my guide and friend, Reno Bonner.  I have been addicted to hunting and God’s bounty ever since.  The idea for AbleShot was born from my love of this sport.  Hunting for an able-bodied person is difficult at best, but as you add limitations it becomes exponentially harder.  AbleShot is a cheat code for disabled individuals.  I also wanted to provide the side benefits of hunting to the individual and their friend, which is the camp time and camaraderie that naturally happens at hunting camps all over the world.

    Reno Bonner

Born in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.  The son of a 3rd generation outfitter, I grew up at a hunting camp and later became a guide.  We moved to Arizona in 1990.  My family was very involved in rodeo where I competed in saddle bronc.  I have spent 20+ years in the telecommunications and technology industries.  I am currently employed by Phoenix Fire Department Technical Services.  I am an active outdoorsman and enjoy hunting, fishing, and camping with family and friends.  Other hobbies include jogging, weightlifting, and trail riding with my family.

    SETH SCOTT

Born and raised in Arizona.  Seth grew up in a hunting family; Grandfather was an outfitter and guided hunts alongside Seth’s father in Teton County (Jackson Hole, Wyoming).  Seth started hunting at a young age (10) primarily hunting upland birds, waterfowl, mule deer and elk.  After high school, Seth joined the Army as a combat engineer and was deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Philippines.  When he was done serving the country, he returned to Arizona and found his beautiful wife.  They now have two boys and spend their spare time with their horses and hunting.  Seth currently lives in Prescott, Arizona and manages a large horse property, which boasts a healthy mule deer and javelina population.

    DAMIEN deLoZIER

A native of rural north central Missouri with a lifelong passion for the outdoors. Starting out on farm ponds for bass and catfish and hunting quail, deer, and turkey, I was bit at a very young age by the hunting and fishing bug. A passion for hunting and fishing has afforded me the privilege to teach others how to take on these great sports. AbleShot gives me the ability to take my experience from 30+years in the field and share it with hunters and anglers from all walks of life with vastly different levels of ability and skill. I currently reside in west central Missouri with my wonderful wife Andi, my son Boone, and my daughter Sailor.

    sandra reynolds

Sandra has been involved in archery for many years. She’s been a coach and archery judge for the United States, taking archers to world tournaments. Having a master’s degree in education and Coaching Administration has helped her successfully start, and run, the Gilbert Archery Range since 2013. Along with hunting and fishing, Sandra enjoys a variety of activities. Being autistic herself, she has a special interest in helping those who are less advantaged than most. She is honored to be part of AbleShot and looks forward to hearing stories of all the lives the organization impacts.

    LONG TIME IN THE MAKING.

AbleShot has been a long time in the making. It started as an idea to help a disabled friend be able to go on a hunt. From that successful experience, founder Bill McCance, had the desire to help others to do the same. While he used his own time and money to hunt with several disadvantaged people he knew, Bill wanted to open opportunities for more people. AbleShot was created to help raise funds and connect to people who would benefit from hunting and other outdoor experiences.
